On March 29, CSC members gathered at Keslow Camera Toronto for an exclusive lens demo co-hosted by Cooke Optics. The event offered a rare chance to get hands-on with the Cooke S8s and the new SP3s in a professional setting, complete with lighting and grip gear for customized testing.
According to Craig Chartier, Cooke Optics Technical Sales Manager, Americas, one of the event’s goals “was to reintroduce the S8s to the CSC members who have worked with our other lines and might not know how the S8s differ. This message was aimed at CSC members who are predominantly shooting feature and series.” Chartier also noted strong interest in the SP3s: “Everyone wanted to play with those and there were a lot of questions on this product line.”
Stephanie Fagan, Keslow’s Vice President of Business Development in Toronto, emphasized the company’s enthusiasm for events like these: “Keslow Camera is committed to supporting organizations such as the CSC and are always eager to offer the space for companies like Cooke to visit us and showcase their wonderful products to the industry and the expertise of their representatives.”
The collaboration between CSC, Cooke, and Keslow—and the extra effort put in by the setup team—made for a memorable and engaging experience for all who attended.
As Evdokiya Mazhurina, a CSC volunteer who helped set up and run the event, reported, “the attendees really liked being able to interact with the lenses themselves and set the lighting for the things they wanted to test.”
