Rion Gonzales, a 2025 CSA nominee is a highly respected Director of Photography known for
his exceptional skill, creative vision, and extensive experience in the film and television
industry.
With projects spanning top streaming platforms such as Apple TV+, Netflix, and Amazon
Prime, Gonzales has earned a reputation for delivering visually compelling work that
captivates audiences.
Represented by the distinguished Sesler agency, his ability to bring stories to life through
striking visuals has made him a sought-after talent in the field.
Gonzales has recently served as Director of Photography on Apple TV+’s acclaimed series
“Circuit Breakers” and was the 2nd Unit DP for two seasons of Netflix’s hit series “Locke and
Key” as well as Amazon’s latest sensation, “Gen V.”
His most recent projects include “Abducted off the Streets”, where he has gained a
nomination for Best Photography, Drama category. “Friday Night Sext Scandal,” “Christmas
with a Kiss,” and the highly anticipated sci-fi feature film “Levels,” which was released in the
US and Canada on November 1, 2024.
In addition to his impressive filmography, Gonzales has made significant contributions to the
Canadian Society of Cinematographers, where he has been actively involved in supporting
and promoting the work of his peers. His dedication to the craft, combined with his
collaborative approach, has solidified his standing as a versatile and innovative
cinematographer.
