Michael is a British born cinematographer who has worked extensively internationally, developing his craft in Australia for over a decade and earning him numerous ACS Awards over the years. Starting his early career working in lighting departments in New Zealand he developed a love for the language of light and has brought his aesthetic to projects which have earned acclaim at AFI/AACTA Academy Awards, numerous major film festivals such as SXSW and receiving recognition for Best Cinematography nominations/awards across the globe.
His unique voice and evocative visual language spans over narrative, music videos and commercial work with his approach discussed via articles and interviews in many prestigious publications including the American Cinematographer magazine, British Cinematographer magazine, Canadian Cinematographer magazine, Australian Cinematographer magazine and Kodak Motion Picture magazine.
