Marie Davignon has been working as a cinematographer for more than 15 years. Her portfolio encompasses a diverse array of projects, including the recent Netflix sequel, Code 8 part II.
Her impact in the industry was underscored by a nomination at the Canadian Screen Awards for “Best Cinematography” recognizing her contribution to Tracey Deer’s feature Beans, centered around the Oka crisis. The film also won “Best Motion Picture” at the Canadian Screen Awards, the Cristal Bear at the Berlinale 2021, and “Best Canadian Film” at the Vancouver International Film Festival in 2020.
Her standout work on the feature Black Conflux by Nicole Dorsey earned her an award at the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival and a nomination in the same category at the Whistler International Film Festival. Marie has also been nominated for Best Cinematography at the Canadian Screen Awards for her work in Micro Scope’s documentary, All That We Make, directed by Annie St-Pierre, and at the Vaughan International film festival for her work on Black Friday by Stephane Moukarzel.
Marie’s most recent projects include La Fête and Attraction’s Mademoiselle Bottine, along with the New Regency feature Balestra.
