The Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC) is thrilled to announce its partnership with CineGround, a Montreal-based, boutique camera rental and post-production house, to provide a dedicated space for upcoming workshops, screenings, and events. The collaboration will bring together CSC members, industry professionals and aspiring cinematographers in the Quebec area to exchange knowledge, enhance skills, and foster creative growth and it was launched with great fanfare on November 3, 2023.
The CSC is renowned for its commitment to promoting excellence in cinematography and supporting the artistic and technical development of its members. Following the launch of CSC Vancouver last December, the opening of CSC Montreal this summer is a natural next step in expanding the CSC’s footprint and becoming a truly national organization.
CineGround’s new state-of-the-art facility in the heart of Montreal will provide the perfect backdrop for the CSC to host workshops and events. With their cutting-edge collection of camera gear and vintage lenses, and with over 15,000 sq ft of shared offices, camera prep space and top-tier post-production facilities (including a 25-seat mini-cinema!), CineGround will offer CSC members an unparalleled experience to learn, collaborate, and push the boundaries of their craft.
“At CineGround, we are committed to supporting and nurturing the creative community,” says Andreas Mendritzki of CineGround. “We believe that by partnering with the CSC, we can contribute to the growth and development of aspiring cinematographers and filmmakers in Montreal and beyond.”
